Tunable
Laser Systems
We can supply a variety of solid-state
Optical Parametric Oscillators and Generators (OPO's
, OPG's) that can be pumped by standard Nd:YAG laser
pump sources. Also available are Integrated YAG / OPO
systems, CW and femtosecond Ti:Sapphire lasers and Cr:LISAF lasers enabling
tunable solid-state output with wavelength ranges from
210nm to 16um. These versatile laser systems are ideal
for lab applications such as spectroscopy and field
applications such as LIDAR.

Ti:Sapphire lasers from KM Labs
| The Dragon |
The Dragon is the highest average power,
shortest pulse, ultrafast Ti:Sapphire laser
system on the market. It provides millijoule
pulses at average powers of up to 7 Watts in
a single stage, limited only by the pump
laser. It is compatible with many different
pump lasers operating at a variety of
repetition rates, and is capable of generating
pulse energies in excess of 3mJ. |
| Chinook |
This ultrabroad bandwidth modelocked Ti:Sapphire laser is their newest and most compact (61x23cm). The sub 12 to 50fs is user adjustable via computer control as is the 750 to 840nm centre wavelength. With a 90 to 100MHz user adjustable rep rate, bandwidths greater then 65nm FWHM are guaranteed. |
| Cascade |
The Cascade is a cavity dumped Ti:Sapphire femptosecond laser with greater then 30nJ per pulse and less than 15fs pulse width. The repitition rate is user adjustable between 80KHz and 2MHz and can operate modelocked, cavity-dumped or both. |
| Halcyon |
This version of the KMLabs femtosecond oscillator includes the electronics, optics, vibration
control and feedback-controlled temperature to stabilize the repetition rate to a pre-specified
value in the range of 80-95MHz, that is an integer sub-multiple of a low phase jitter R.F.
reference signal between 2500 and 3000MHz. A jitter of less than 200fs RMS is guaranteed
provided a suitable (clean) reference R.F. source is used. |
| PCD Pulse Picker |
We now offer a half-wave Pockels cell
and driver. This product is designed to
switch out a pulse from an approx. 90MHz
low energy modelocked Ti:Sapphire
(~800nm) laser pulse train. |
| STRC: Pulse Strecther and Compressor Pair |
The STRC is a chirped-pulse stretcher/compressor setup optimized for amplification of ultrashort
20-30 fs pulses to the millijoule/ kHz level using multi-pass amplifiers. |

| PG100 |
The PG100 series
of OPO's is tunable within 420-2300nm with an optional
UV extension for 210-366nm. With a scanning step
of 0.1nm (signal) the PG100 series has applications
in photochemistry, photobiology, LIDAR and more. Requires a 355nm nanosecond laser such as the NL300 as pump source |
| NT340 |
The NT340 is an integrated
OPO and Q-switched laser pump source with up to
30mJ in the visible is available. With tuning of
420-2300nm and the option for UV output it is applicable
to many fields of reasearch or industry. Available
in broad bandwidth or narrow bandwitdh models it
can be tailored for individual applications. |
| PG400 |
The PG400 series of OPG's
are an excellent choice for researchers who need
a picosecond tunable source from UV to Mid IR. The
tunable range can be as much as 0.21-16um when utilising
EKSPLA's difference frequency generator (DFG). Requires 355nm picosecond laser such as the SL312 or PL2140 as pump source. |
| PG500 |
The PG500 series provides
higher output energy in the near IR range compared
to the PG400. When tunability in the VIS is not
important the PG500 is a cost effective alternative
to the PG400, as a less powerful and therefore less
expensive pump laser is required. |
| PG411/511 |
These lasers are ideal when narrow linewidth picosecond pulses are required. They have a high energy efficiency and can be tuned within 420-2300nm. They have applications in laser spectroscopy, materials research and 3 and 4 wave mixing. Requires 355nm picosecond laser such as the SL312 or PL2140 as pump source. |

| Cr:LiSAF |
The
3050 flashlamp pumped Cr:LiSAF laser can operate
in harsh environments, including industrial and
field. It will deliver a repetition rate of 30 Hz
with an output pulse energy of 60 mJ at 850 nm.
The laser wavelength can be tuned from 780 nm to
940 nm with reduced pulse energy. Output bandwidth
of the standard laser is approximately 10 nm FWHM.
Reduced bandwidth is available, with options to
produce single frequency output in a larger package.
